Jeffrey Wasserstrom

Jeffrey Wasserstrom is the lead editor of the Oxford Illustrated History of Modern China, which will provide an important new overview of the sweep of Chinese history from the Ming-Qing transition of the mid-1600s through the present.

Contributors include leading historians of China (e.g., Anne Gerritsen, Rana Mitter, Robert Bickers, and S.A. Smith), as well as political scientists (such as Richard Curt Kraus and William Callahan), and a prominent journalist (Ian Johnson, who writes for the New York Times, New York Review of Books, and New Yorker). The volume will be published in Spring 2016 by Oxford University Press.
